Biology with Ms. Cardoza, room 312

Welcome  to Biology! Biology is devoted to the study of living things and their processes. Throughout the semester, this course provides an opportunity for  students to develop scientific process skills, laboratory techniques, and an understanding of the fundamental principles of living organisms. This course is
designed to teach the fundamentals of Biology, including the following units of  study: Biochemistry, Ecology, Structure and Function of Cells, Genetics, Evolution and Biodiversity, and Human Anatomy. Students will work independently and in small groups to solve problems and conduct research. Regular completion
of labs and lab reports will be required, as will the use of a variety of technology for communication, problem solving, and research. While the topics covered in CP and Honors Biology are the same, they will be developed in greater detail in Honors Biology, and student work will be assessed using more rigorous expectations.

All class notes will be accessible on this website for make-ups and/or review. All paper assignments (classwork, homework worksheets, labs, etc) will be available on Aspen, under the assignment date and time. Please contact me if you need assistance accessing Aspen.
